If you know me at all, you know my husband and I love a good DIY project. We just can’t leave things how we find them, haha! We recently got the kids a new playhouse and when I told my husband my ideas for it, I think he thought I was crazy. I was like, “Just trust me!”
We ordered the playhouse from Amazon and it arrived in about a week. This exact playhouse is called the Modern outdoor Playhouse by KidKraft. It isn’t the most durable playhouse (my husband could have made a much sturdier one if I wasn’t so impatient, ha!!) but it will hold up fine and is super cute, even before the makeover. I love how it turned out. I did this in about a week. If you know us, you know we do not play around when we start projects. I decided on white paint for the outside and inside of the house and used fun colors, like pink and purple for accents. I replaced the red curtains that came with the playhouse with a pretty pink and palm print – obsessed! I grabbed the flamingos, the color banner and the address numbers from Hobby Lobby. We already had the cactus and ice cream cone, so I added those for a little extra decoration. All of the rocks and pavers are from Lowe’s. Super easy, y’all!

We had so much fun making over this playhouse! I can’t wait to enjoy all of the treats that come out of there this summer. We are brainstorming about a name for the ice cream shop. Do you have any ideas??
